WORKSHOP SESSION 1 – OPTION A: Pathways to UCI: My First Year at UCI
Join this session to hear from five first-year Anteaters who will highlight their insights as students at UCI. The five student speakers will touch on their journey to UCI, the transition to their first year in college, and some tips and advice for prospective and incoming students.

In these sessions you will hear from DREAM Project Fellowship fellows and their year-long projects conducted across the UCI campus.
Undocumented Student Peer Mentorship Model: New Project Initiative at the DREAM Center Expand
In this session, you will hear all about one of the new initiatives that promote self-awareness, professional development opportunities from the lens of Undocumented Peer Mentors. Using the Dream Center as the focal point to promote resources for long-term awareness and engagement with the bigger undocumented community.

SESSION 2 WORKSHOPS
WORKSHOP SESSION 2 – OPTION C:Breakout by Residency Specialty
This breakout session will include various residents or attendings with DACA. Attendees can choose which specialty they’re interested in learning more about and connect with panelists in a small group. Attendees will gain exposure to doctors from different residency programs and connect in an informal manner.
***Medical Student Track: This track is aimed for current medical students with DACA to receive mentorship and understand how to be competitive applicants for residency programs.***

In these sessions you will hear from DREAM Project Fellowship fellows and their year-long projects conducted across the UCI campus.
Creating Educational Resources for Different Communities Expand
In this session, you will hear from a promising group of young scholars working to create educational resources for students and families from underrepresented and under-resourced communities. Their work supports learners across a wide age range from early childhood to college students preparing for graduate school and takes a variety of approaches including family engagement, school-based intervention, data analysis, workshops, mentoring programs, and database construction. The common thread that ties this work together is the commitment to enhance learning and create supportive environments for children, families, and students from historically marginalized communities.

Undocumented-Pipeline Initiatives at UCI Expand
Learn about all the ways undocumented students reimagine and made possible new ways to create access and inclusion campus-wide initiatives for undocumented students through Admissions, Enrollment, School of Engineering, and Cross-Cultural Center.

Building Bridges Across Our Community: The importance of Outreach & Communication Expand
A panel of Filipinx and Latinx scholars will share their challenges and successes in outreach, community engagement, communication and connections to the communities they serve. As fellows they worked solely in a digital space while living through the pandemic.

SESSION 3 WORKSHOPS
WORKSHOP SESSION 3 – OPTION B: Financing Professional/ Medical School
This 45-minute session provides an overview of strategies to finance graduate school for undocumented students. This will cover institutional and private loans, scholarships and fellowship opportunities, and how to maximize potential financial aid opportunities during the application cycle.
**Pre-Med/Health Track: This track is aimed for college students, post-bacc students, and others interested in pursuing a career in medicine and health care professions.**

WORKSHOP SESSION 3 – OPTION D: DREAM Project Fellowship Panel Presentations
In these sessions you will hear from DREAM Project Fellowship fellows and their year-long projects conducted across the UCI campus.
Strengthening Academic & Retention of Undocumented Anteaters Expand
This panel will show different projects from different sites. It includes undocumented students, first-generation, multi-cultured students. Some DP Fellows focused on creating activity work for the center, while others gathered data in order to analyze the center’s impact. Both are needed to reflect and improve the centers.

Engagement of Diversity & Inclusion: Past, Present, Future Expand
In this panel, you will hear DREAM Project Fellows from across student affairs: Athletics, the Cross-Cultural Center, the Center for Student Leadership, and Sorority & Fraternity Life. Together, these fellows will discuss their projects in how they have discovering and promoting diversity and inclusion for Anteaters to come.
