Our Immigrant Resilience Fellowship Scholarship is a collaboration between the DREAM Center and the SOAR Center. It is designed for students who are interested in being part of a learning community that is centered around undocumented student experiences at UCI. Students receive a $3,000 scholarship for the academic year.
We are committed to the academic and financial well-being of undocumented students. Recipients of the award will participate in a student retention program offered by SOAR, to strengthen academic wellness and demonstrate a higher GPA at the end of the year.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Improve academic wellness and overall engagement
- Develop self-advocacy skills in academic environments
- Foster community engagement and leadership skills
Program Requirements – (Quarterly Expectations):

- Enroll in a LARC tutorial session OR 1 writing center session
- Attend 1 Professor/TA office hours
- Meet with your mentor once a quarter to discuss Individual Plan of Action (IPA)
- Must meet with your Academic Counselor at least once per academic year
- Work as a group to lead one skill-building / outreach event in the spring quarter
